Repairs, remodels and repipes · Selah & Yakima

Plumbing repairs, bathroom and kitchen remodels, and repipes in the Yakima Valley

From a leaky faucet to a whole-house repipe, done by the same Selah family crew since 1981. Open 24 hours, seven days a week.

Chapter 01

The small repair that costs the most when it waits

Most of what we fix starts small: a faucet that drips inside the kitchen or out at the hose bib, a toilet that will not stop running, a garbage disposal that hums and does nothing, a shutoff valve that weeps under the sink. We take the minor repairs and the major ones, and both go to the same crew.

Frost-free faucets and frozen pipes are valley business. A frost-free faucet that has leaked on an exterior wall for a while has been wetting the framing behind it, and a pipe that froze once is a pipe to look at again before the next cold snap. Backflow preventers and no-hot-water calls land on the same list.

A plumber who is already under the sink should look at what is around it. Dick Burke's own welcome puts it plainly: even a small mistake can cause major damage, so gas and water work belongs to a professional. Call us to inspect your home for early signs of damage and avoid the costly repair.

From planning to the last fixture: kitchen and bathroom remodels

As installers of water and gas lines, much of our work involves kitchen and bathroom plumbing. Whether the project is new construction, a renovation or a remodel, we are there from start to finish, from planning to the completion of your bathroom.

The plumbing decides what the room can be. Where the tub sits, whether the shower is a walk-in, how many fixtures share a wall: that is rough-in work, and it is settled with detailed planning before tile and cabinets go up. After that the job is fast, quality work at a fair price.

We install kitchen and bathroom plumbing fixtures and service hot water heaters too, so the faucet, the toilet, the disposal and the heater behind the wall come from one crew. Our team can also show you how to upgrade your plumbing fixtures to cut costs and enhance the value of your home.

Chapter 03

Repiping a house or a mobile home

Re-piping houses and mobile homes is one of the lines we are known for. Your Plumbing Repair & Re-Pipe Specialist is lettered on the trucks, and the work behind it is whole-house and mobile home repipes, start to finish.

A repipe is the answer when patching stops working: pinhole leaks that keep moving, valves that will not hold, water that runs rusty or weak. One tired line replaced now is one less wall opened later.

Houses and mobile homes are piped differently, so the walk-through comes first. Call, tell us what is leaking and where, and we will tell you whether it is a repair or a repipe.

Shutoff valve and frost-free faucet

“Jorge Nunez came to our home and repaired a water shutoff valve to our toilet and the toilet flush valve. He also took the time to repair frost-free faucet on our exterior wall that had leaked for some time. He was prompt, worked quickly, and was polite. Definitely would use Burkes Plumbing and Jorge again should a need arise.”

The shop publishes coupons for faucet installs, toilet replacements and re-pipes. More customer notes are on the testimonials page, and if the water itself is the trouble, start with water treatment.
